Welcome to RAK BC Art!

Here at Rak Academy BC, making and painting is a sensory experience, and exploring materials is very important as through this children gain an understanding of the objects in the world around them. Children gain important motor skills through artistic practice as they use a variety of materials and media, for example: crayons, chalk, paint, clay, textile and yarn.

At Rak Academy BC, students have an opportunity to explore ideas and meanings in the works of artists, craftspeople and designers. They create artwork in a variety of  two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) media; 2D - such as drawing, painting, collage, printmaking, weaving; 3D - such as clay and paper, wood, or found objects.

Students learn how to work together as a team to create collaborative art work, and to take care of materials and tools in addition to using them safely.
